Mid week

I know I've stuff yet to post here but I thought I tell you about Kelby Training. I have just signed up for a monthly pass, which costs $17.99 being a NAPP member. Having just watched my first class, it's incredible....totally. If you want to learn stuff I don't thing you can get better value for your money. Check it out.

Bank Holiday weekend

Wow. We had a real nice weekend. Saturday I went to watch Iron Man at the cinema. It was great. Better than I'd thought. And Will Smith's new movie trailer looks real cool too.

The weather seems to be holding so I've got to get some photography done. Anything and everything needs to be considered as I have to start submitting some imagery to publications hopefully getting stuff out there. I guess photo libraries are the first to be looked at.

Anyway. I'm going to be processing my Blackpool photos tonight.

Raining on the Parade

Well, I managed to get some photo time, getting into shape will have to wait.

I went up to Manchester last week to help my cousin sort out somewhere to live and stuff, as he's just moved to the UK from Trinidad. We took him to Blackpool, where Mia managed to get on a Donkey - it was wonderful to see as we'd thought she'd be scared of them. Anyway, I'll have the images up here at the weekend.

April showers

I've been so lazy. Not really done anything worth showing. I'm trying to find a medium between getting back in shape and taking photos of stuff.

I'm looking for inspiration for the upcoming 'Holiday wedding' where I've been asked to take the pictures. Well, I have my own ideas as how I want to have it shot, but its down to the bride and groom. When I see them next I want to have a proper chat as to how they want the pictures done.

Anyhoo. When I have something I'll post it here.

Learning how to use light to enhance my images

These are my favorites of the many shots taken of the flowers I bought. I used both my 50mm f1.8 and my 80-200 f2.8. Nikon SB-600 flash,

And now, I'm back.....

Phew!, I've just had the first weekend off since christmas. We've been entertaining each weekend and so have been unable to do anything. Oh, I have had a great time, just not enough time to be able to do my thing.

Last week I actually managed to buy some nice flowers and so I'd practiced with using my flash off camera. I got some nice effects, and some that just didn't work. All of which I'll be posting over the next few days so come back soon.
